The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023.

The number of candidates registering for NEET UG has seen a significant increase over the past four years. In 2022, a total of 18,72,343 candidates registered for the exam, and 17,64,571 appeared for it across 497 cities in India and 14 cities outside India.

Maharashtra – 2,56,126 registrations, 2,44,903 appeared, 1,13,812 qualified
Uttar Pradesh – 2,29,115 registrations, 2,19,197 appeared, 1,17,316 qualified
Tamil Nadu – 1,42,894 registrations, 1,32,167 appeared, 67,787 qualified
Karnataka – 1,33,255 registrations, 1,22,423 appeared, 72,262 qualified
