Supreme Court Allows Exemption Applications in JKSSB APTECH Case Amid Allegations of Unfair Practices and Corruption
In the ongoing case of allegations of unfair practices and corruption in the Junior Engineer and Sub-Inspector exams conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) in 2022, the Supreme Court has received an update. The petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that the exams were conducted as per the interim order of the High Court on December 9, 2022. The court has decided not to review the Special Leave Petition’s merits at this stage and has recommended that the High Court hear the Writ Appeal soon, ideally within three months of receiving the order.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has instructed that the exam results should not be released until the High Court issues instructions. The court has made it clear that it has not expressed any opinion on the case’s merits and urged the High Court to make its decision based on facts and the law.
