- On 13th February, a complaint was filed with the Lassipora police post by a man named Manzoor Ahmad Mir, reporting that thousands of fishes in his fish farm in Bathnoor Shahoora had died due to some unknown persons mixing a poisonous substance in the water.
- Police took immediate action and registered a case under FIR NO 9/2023 U/S 428 IPC at PS Litter, starting the investigation.
- By utilizing technical and human resources, police called in several suspects for questioning and discovered that some individuals used bleaching powder to catch fishes at a canal, which acted as a source of water for the fish farm.
- This resulted in the death of the farm fishes, and all the accused persons involved in the act were arrested.
