NEET UG 2023: Fees Increased, Exam Centres Reduced, and Revised Tie-Breaking Policy
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started accepting applications for the NEET UG 2023 exam, which will be held on May 7th. However, there are a few changes in the exam pattern this year.

The NTA has increased the fees and reduced the number of exam centers. Additionally, the tie-breaking policy has been revised, and age and NEET UG application number are no longer used as criteria.

If two or more applicants score the same NEET marks or percentile score, the NTA will follow a tie-breaking methodology to determine inter-se-merit. The methodology involves looking at the candidate’s score in biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as their proportion of attempted incorrect and correct answers in each subject.

- Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in biology (botany and zoology) in the test, followed by,
- Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in chemistry in the test, followed by,
- Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in physics in the test, followed by,
- Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,
