The University of Kashmir will now be admitting students to its undergraduate programs in affiliated colleges based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) starting from the academic session of 2023. This change is in line with the UGC guidelines and the implementation of the National Education Policy-2020.
The CUET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and provides a single-window opportunity for students to seek admission to universities across the country. The admissions will be based on the merit obtained in the CUET, and the detailed admission notification for various undergraduate programs will be available on the Kashmir University website from March 6, 2023.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed their qualifying examination (10+2) with the required eligibility as shown against each program.
Even candidates whose 10+2 examination is scheduled during March-April 2023 are eligible to apply, but they will only be granted admission after acquiring the requisite eligibility.
The CUET will be a Computer Based Test (CBT), and the last date for online submission of application forms is 12 March 2023 (till 9pm).
The last date for successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit/NET-Banking/UPI is also 12 March 2023 (till 11:50 pm).
If there are any mistakes in the application, the correction in particulars can be made from 15-18 March 2023 (till 11.50pm). The announcement date for the City of Examination is 30 April 2023, and the admit cards can be downloaded from the NTA website in the second week of May 2023.
The date of examination is 21st May 2023 onwards
