Jammu and Kashmir students Prepare for annual exams as new academic session approaches
Jammu and Kashmir’s students are preparing for their annual examinations, as their winter break comes to an end.
The government has ordered an early start to the new academic session, so the exams for junior classes must be completed by March 20. In the past, the annual exams were held in October-November, but now they will take place in March in soft zones and late March to April in hard zones.
Heavy snowfall in higher regions this season may cause disruptions, but if weather conditions remain favorable, the exams are expected to go smoothly.
The School Education Department must ensure that examination centers have proper heating arrangements to avoid negatively impacting students’ performance due to cold weather.
It is vital that exams for all classes conclude on time so that the new academic session can start on schedule
